As Seen on Sunday: His Love Endures Forever

As Seen on Sunday: His Love Endures Forever

As Seen on Sunday  is  a recap of the Sunday Celebration to encourage you in the faith each week, but it's not the same as being here. It's Empty Church as seen on Sunday.

Verse of the Week

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
— Psalm 136:1

Confession

Father forgive us for forgetting your love. How it never fails, how it never changes.

It is sure and it’s steady even when the world changes like shifting sand

Forgive us, God, for forgetting your love

And trusting other things to meet our needs

When your love is perfect

And it never fails us

Amen

Sermon Highlights

Our God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords and his love and endures forever.

Our life of worship should be a call and response that mimics Psalm 136

  • Through the storms...his steadfast love endures forever
  • Through political changes...his steadfast love endures forever
  • Through both the good and the bad times...his steadfast love endures forever

How we describe our trials and our troubles will describe our faith. If we always talk about the struggle and omit our stern belief that God's love endures forever, we stop the spread of Good News to those who desperately need to hear it.

Let's not fall into the temptation to let our present circumstance overshadow God's love for us.

The EC Challenge

If you were David, how would you have written Psalm 136? Leave a comment below with your obstacle to remembering God's steadfast and enduring love.
