Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold
I’ll be the first one out of the group to admit that I like getting revenge. You could even call me Frank Castle. Does that make me a bad person? Definitely. Revenge is sweet. What’s that saying about treating people the way you want to be treated? Well people deserve to be treated the way they treat others.
Listen to this week's episode
I work in a restaurant with about 30 other women and some men. There is a lot of drama. There is a lot of cattiness. There is a lot of revenge. Some revenge that goes on is simply getting back at someone for a joke or a prank but other forms of revenge range from gossip to tattle-tailing. Unfortunately, we have poor management and everyone is sort of left to defend themselves. There are jobs that everyone has to do and if they don’t do them, everyone else is left to do their job. Management couldn’t care less and voicing our opinions to them doesn’t do anything either. We are then forced to quit our job or solve the problems ourselves.
If you are thinking that I should quit my job, I probably should, but I’m not going to. I don’t get revenge on everyone that deserves it, but most for sure. It’s a dog eat dog world out there. I grew up with three brothers that would pick me up and body slam me onto the couch and leave me crying or take me out into the woods and run away and leave me to find my own way back home. Brothers aren’t nice. The world isn’t nice. Revenge is nice.
