No one likes to dwell on their failures or mistakes. It hurts. In fact, many times we rush though the lamenting process, desiring to feel better as soon as possible. But lamenting is important, it is a vital first step in the process of learning from and changing our behavior. This is a process of lamenting, repenting, and cementing.

There are many different ways to protest. Some are more peaceful than others. Some are more respectful than others. And some communicate the message you are trying to convey better than others. After all, protesting is about a message or a cause you are trying to represent, right? So before you even discuss whether or not you want to organize a sit-in or start painting signs for picketing, you should first answer a few questions.

Tithing Sucks

I've led worship on and off since I was about 14. I remember one of my favorite songs to sing back then was "Heart Of Worship" and a lyric from this song stood out to me as I thought about worship this week. "I'll bring you more than a song, for a song in itself is not what you have required." In #ec1dot16 we talked about worship, specifically how worship has become synonymous with music. But is that the only way to worship God?
