This Week's Podcast: A Conversation Between Church and State: Women's Rights
Two white men come together to discuss women's rights... sounds like a bad joke right? Luckily Sarah was there to keep the guys in line.
We start from the basis that women should be equal. Many of the most popular women's issues come up in our conversation, if only in passing mention. The question that dominates much of the discussion is if the voice women have been given is the voice they want.
We especially want to hear from the ladies on this conversation. How do you feel you are represented? Are your concerns represented adequately?
As Seen On Sunday: The Poor Will Always Be With You
Repeated many times in the Scripture is a version of this phrase, “The poor will always be with you.” And we are ok with that - just as long as we are not the ones who are poor.
But being poor, just like being rich, is relative. And we often confuse the feeling of a financial pinch with poverty. There are times when we have less money in our accounts - but we are still far from being poor. At least being financially poor.
