There Are No Small Parts
I love the theater. I participated in several productions growing up, playing roles that varied from a shy librarian to an Army Colonel. While my stage time and line count varied, the importance of my role did not. I learned this lesson from my director early on. "There are no small parts, only small actors." he would say.
He taught us that every role was important to the production's value and that without one of us, the play would not be as successful. I believe the same was true of James and Thaddeus. In #ec1dot03, we learned that these two disciples played very small roles according to the biblical account, sharing only one verse between them. But that doesn't mean that their part was any less significant.
My director would cast who he felt would best suit each role in the play. I believe God does the same. Whatever our part, big or small, we are important to the final production.
