#ec1dot09 - Say What You Say or Walk This Way?

On this episode:

Is it what you say or what you do that really matters? It seems straightforward but the disciple Peter makes us re-examine the question. When it comes to being “saved” the words and the deeds are extremely important but we’re not sure if there is a specific order. On that confession we dive headlong into Another Empty Conversation.

Maybe it boils down to this: You can work self into a belief and you can believe yourself into work and service. Ultimately God pursues us in his infinite wisdom and brings us to a place where we are ready to embrace him. Through this whole series we see that Jesus’ followers were not cookie-cutter. Perhaps that means our journeys back to him aren’t cookie-cutter either.

This is the second episode of our holiday road trip trilogy and as we close out our first series on Who is allowed to follow Jesus. If you missed episode #1dot08 on the validity of miracles you can find on iTunes, SoundCloud, or the website.

Talking about your faith can be tough. It is tough for us and we are pretty good friends creating a show together. We certainly hope that these weekly peaks into our spiritual journey is an encouragement to you.
