#ec1dot26 - Just Follow Your Heart

Fairy godmothers tell the dear girl to follow her heart, but the heart is a wicked thing. Its selfish above all else and that means that following your heart may not be good for others. So what is person to do? Turn to the law, morality, or religion? Are these enough to change the heart?

Only God can change a heart. Any chance at real change comes only through the power of the gospel of Jesus.  Behavior modification can change only so much. A life devoted to following Jesus can change everything.

The time has arrived for Another Empty Conversation -  a show that lets you eavesdrop on a conversation about faith and following Jesus. We talk about our faith so you can talk about yours.

Welcome you to Empty Conversation episode #1dot26\

Before we kick off we want to review some basics about Another Empty Conversation:
Before we do there are a couple of things we want you to know:

First: These are conversations not sermons. We are friends talking about our faith and the process of figuring out how to live on a daily basis. We will disagree with each other and you will disagree with us. We welcome the tension because at the end of the day we would rather get it right than be right.

Second: We need you to join in the conversation. Use Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud or the webpage to let us know what you think we got right and what you think we got wrong. We’ll place the links in the show notes.  Without you we might miss a vital part of the discussion.

Third: Finally Another Empty Conversation is brought to you by Empty Church. We are trying to find the best way to make it the six days between Sunday when the church building is empty. We want to empty ourselves of the crap that keeps us from Jesus and pursue Jesus in the 144 hours until the next Church meeting.

Today’s conversation talks about the wickedness of our hearts and how the heart can lead to some reprehensible actions.
Let’s get to it.
