#ec1dot27 - Troublemakers and Revolutionaries
On This Episode:
Troublemaker or Revolutionary? Bully or Leader? Freedom fighter or Terrorist? I guess it all depends on your perspective. right? God says that he hates when we sow discord, but discord and drama are like an addictive drug. Are we to remain foolish? Or should we jump into Another Empty Conversation?
History tells the tales of the revolutionaries, but the stories of troublemakers are not soon forgotten - especially by those who were on the receiving end of dirty tricks. If you are going to disrupt the status quo make sure that you are fighting for justice and not pursuing pain or glory.
Sowing discord is the hobby of fools.
The time has arrived for Another Empty Conversation - a show that lets you eavesdrop on a conversation about faith and following Jesus. We talk about our faith so you can talk about yours.
Welcome to Empty Conversation episode 1dot27. It is the final episode of our series on Foolish Things and what happens when we ignore wise advice.
If you have missed any of the episodes in this short series you can find them on iTunes, and we are happy to announce that we are live in the Google Play Music store! For our friends that use Android-powered devices, you can now find episodes of Another Empty Conversation in the Google Play Music app on your smartphone or tablet device.
Our the past month we have covered the “seven deadly sins” that God hates. haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. These are the most foolish of foolish things you can do.
Foolish people do foolish things, but they are not sentenced to a life of folly. The book of Proverbs makes it clear that a foolish person can change his ways. That brings hope to us all, right? But how? Following Jesus, repenting of your folly and dedicating your life to serving him is our source of hope. To many this is referred to as “Being a Christian.” Starting in June the EC crew will start a new series on “What does it mean to be a Christian” and we will talk about what following Jesus is all about. We hope that you will tune in and turn it up for what is sure to be a great series.
