On this episode:

Life, then death, then what?
Traditionally speaking the afterlife is spoken in terms of eternal pleasure or eternal torment; Heaven or Hell. Since we have no eye witness accounts we often ponder many questions about the afterlife.
What is it like? How do you know where you are going? Will there be sex?
Its the first part of a two-part conversation about heaven on this week’s episode of Another Empty Conversation.
The time has arrived for Another Empty Conversation - a show that lets you eavesdrop on a conversation about faith and following Jesus. We talk about our faith so you can talk about yours.
Welcome you to Empty Conversation episode #1dot30. My name is Josh and I will be joined by Sean, Kristal and Sarah in just a few minutes to talk about the life after life.
Today we are all about that gold and pearl, rubies, and gemstones - pleasure paradiso. We talking Heaven. What its like, what to expect, and how to get there.
This is just the first part of a two part conversation on the afterlife. Heaven this week and hell the next. Before we get to the afterlife we have this thing called living that - if you are listening to this - you are currently partaking in this activity.
If you are doing this thing called living and you are a Christian perhaps you would be wise to ask yourself - “What does it mean to be a Christian?”
And if you asked yourself that question you are in good company, because that is the question that we have asked ourselves and we recorded our talks on 5 of the tensions that bring meaning to the Christian life. That series starts in June and if you want some more information you can visit us on the web at www.empty.church/what. Be sure to sign up so you don’t miss a single episode.
You can’t get to heaven or hell without going through this life first - you might as well learn how to get through it best.
Heaven is the topic today in the first part of this two part series on the afterlife - you know how we do it, lets get to it
When reality meets imagination or expectation we can be disappointed because we thought it would be a whole lot better than it really turned out to be.
When it comes to the afterlife - no matter where you end up - imagination and expectation will be trumped by reality. It will go infinitely beyond what you can fathom.
While we are here we grasp at what could be and rest in what has been promised to us. Knowing the Promised Land exceeded the Israelites expectations we have comfort that heaven -to the Christian - will be more than satisfying.
