#ec1dot41 - When Jesus is Not Enough
So we sat down to talk about our second statement of faith on the Deity and person of Jesus Christ. Sometimes what we plan to happen doesn’t happen. In this episode, Sean and I start talking about the Church, the people that go to church, and the insecurities of both that cause them to make some unholy choices. The conversation was worth recording and I know it will be worth listening to.
Pastors are insecure creatures and no one like to talk about it. The church is full of insecure people and no one likes to talk about. I am an insecure person and I don’t like to talk about it. But that is what we are going to do today.
All this and more on this impromptu episode of Another Empty Conversation
The time has arrived for Another Empty Conversation - a show that lets you eavesdrop on a conversation about faith and following Jesus. We talk about our faith so you can talk about yours.
Quite literally, you get to eavesdrop on a conversation between Sean and me about insecurity and the people of God. We were doing prep work for this week’s planned episode on Jesus but quickly got sidetracked and went into another direction entirely.
Luckily for you, we recorded most of the conversation and we are pretty certain there are some good words in here to encourage you in your faith.
Next week we will return to our scheduled show and talk what we believe about Jesus, the Son of God.
Before we get going, a reminder to follow us on FaceBook Twitter and Instagram. We don’t want you to miss out what is going on here at Empty Church.
But that is enough rambling lets get to it
We hope you that you enjoyed Sean and I’s conversation as much as we had having it and we hope that the Holy Spirit spoke to you concerning any insecurities effecting you or your church.
We at Empty Church are insecure too! We confess! We understand the feeling of not being good enough, but we recognize that’s not from God, that our sin. We confess and repent and are being being sanctified from that.
That is the best we can offer you right now.
